MAIDEN

BUILD

To the Flite Test Community,

As the program ends another awesome year, last minute projects are piling up ready to be showcased to you. This one in particular is one of our favorite planes, that is the MINI Eclipse that Jill redesigned to be suitable for any builder and pilot.

Originally designed by Stormy Waggoner, now in high school studying to be an engineer, Jill's job was to take the plane and redesign it to accomodate the Flite Test Power Pack F, after seeing the video you can see that she did an amazing job. Hours of CAD work went behind her efforts to make sure everything fit just right and the plane flew perfect. The Eclipse flew better then perfect, she was able to fly the plane all by herself and take the plane home over the summer without a scratch.  In her efforts to bring a great plane to you guys she also completed a build video, showcasing how quick and easy the build is.  Please consider downloading the plans and taking up the challenge of build your very own MINI Eclipse.

MINI ECLIPSE PLANS TILED

The plane flew easy staight out of the hands, the CG "marked on the plans" was right on!

Glides awesome, flies inverted, crazy low and high speeds, and durable!

She flew the whole time, why need a trainer.

A build video to go along with build, perfect.

Jill seen here showing how to install servos.

Make sure to glue here for the motor mount!

Jill shows you how to setup the TX and RX for the plane, piece of cake!

Bravo Zulu Jill on a very fine job. She flies like a homesick angel. Keep up the studies, and most importantly, keep flying!
Being a sailor, I like using the nautical use of Bravo and Zulu nautical signal flags, e.g., Bravo Zulu, also referred to as "BZ," is a naval signal, typically conveyed by flaghoist or voice radio, meaning "Well Done" with regard to actions, operations or performance. - Rick
