EMAX BabyHawk Review

Micro quads have been at the forefront of our minds at Flite Test and we found one we are enjoying: the EMAX BabyHawk.

What is unique about the BabyHawk is that it has all the electronics that you find in our FT Gremlins is in this micro quad. So, if you haven’t learned the skills just yet to make your own DIY quad, this is a great alternative if you want to fly something similar to the FT Gremlin. All you need to do is plug and play!

Things we love

  • Great for beginner pilots
  • Prop guards
  • Durable
  • Horizon mode and angle modes
  • Can auto level
  • Can fly indoors and outdoors
  • 22 degree bank angle
  • 2- and 3-cell capable
  • 4-to-1 power ratio
  • Comes in a really nice box to transport it
  • Easily customizable (props, frames, etc.)

Things that we didn't love as much

  • Can’t swap camera
  • Somewhat loud

Help me out, please. I am an old rc plane guy with no quad experience. I ordered the baby hawk with spectrum receiver. The receiver binds but there is no response. The camera works. What do I need to know? Thanks
