You are asking yourself, "Who is that weird looking guy who is looking at his Super Cub's propeller so weirdly." Well, it's me - earthsciteach! Most people know my as Patrick Murphy or Mr. Murphy (to my students). Honestly, the Mr. part is still really weird to me. All formalities aside, FlyingMonkey and I have come up with a brilliant plan! This summer, during the weekend of June 22 and 23rd, he and I are single-handedly (ok, we both have two hands) devised the First Annual, Flite Test non-Flite Fest gathering. Surely you are thinking, "Wow, Chad must have some really tolerant neighbors." I can't really speak to that. And, while I think camping between Chad's lawn and the cell tower sounds like great fun, Chad is still a bit reluctant to host such a gathering. Plus, I'm not sure how his wife would feel about a long line of RC airplane enthusiasts waiting for a turn in the Kapper crapper. So, the Monkey and I propose a gathering at another mecca of flight - the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome in Rhinebeck, NY. We will camp out. We will enjoy the sights and sounds of early aviation. We might even crash some airplanes of our own! We are in the "feeling out" stage, right now. If there is enough interest, I will organize a camping area for us. If there is not any interest, FlyingMonkey and I will have a good time, anyway. But, we hope to see you there! To RSVP, send me a PM. I'll get back to you with further details. Happy flying, folks! Hope to see you in NY!
