To the FliteTest Community;
The MESArcFF team the past couple of months have been working hard with senior student Scott Bragg of Loveland High School. Scott was the first MESArcFF student 5 years ago and is now graduating this spring and attending Embry Riddle Aernautical Engineering School this upcoming Fall semester. Scott's final engineering class installment was to create a problem and then design a possible solution. The problem, ski slopes and trails offseason inspection that are needed up in the Colorado mountains. Scott's solution was to create a glider type aircraft to survey the mountain ranges at these resorts. He had to have a piece of his project be collaborative and used the MESArcFF team to create the fuselage that will be mounted underneath the aircrafts massive wing. Scott came with little in mind about what he wanted, which was a challenge for the students, but over 4 months of checking in and readjusting the final design, the MESArcFF team nailed it. It was a win win day for the program and Scott.
Ashton and Jake working on the final design changes in January.
In December the kids came up with the first prototype, which didn't appeal to anyone....
Introduced a more difficult design and build, proved to be to small and too complex, but we are getting close.
Jack working hard on his input to the design.
Final project handed over and happy customer!
