Hey everyone, here is my second Flite Test designed aircraft, scratch built and reviewed at Local Motors in Phoenix.
I used the beef kit from lazertoys, and am using a 3D printed firewall I found on thingiverse here.
The big takeaways from building this thing are:
- Phoenix is tough on landing gear-less foamies, as there is no grass to land in.
- Always bind your reciever and center the servos before installing them, because cutting holes in the bottom of your new wing to remove and reinstall your servos is a PITA.
- Stock fatshark antennas are terrible.
Here is our blog video review, featuring some FPV footage flying around the Phoenix microfactory on the maiden flight.

I made the holes in the firewall much smaller to allow for the much smaller motor mounting screws I was using.
