FPV with Trappy

by FliteTest | November 4, 2013 | (21) Posted in Just Fun

Trappy came to visit for a couple of days and we though it would be fun to fly some FPV multirotors together.

First we went to a pumpkin farm and flew around a corn maze and a pumpkin chunking cannon.

Chad and Trappy tangled up during the first flight and Chad went down.

The graciuos Chad in full sprint towards his hex.

Trappy and David grew tired of the wide open space, so we went to the abandoned Hercules plant.

Where David promptly started flying unnecessarily close to things at high speeds

Trappy ventured down into the factory.

Trappy was flying his Discovery Pro with a brushless gimbal.

Alex was giving some energetic directions on set.

Full speed ahead.

A big thanks to Trappy for visiting!

There is a flaw with the gopro 3 in which when using the live video out (necessary for using it as an FPV camera as well as the recording cam) it cuts out because the computer thing inside gets out of order or something. They discussed this in a Q&A a while ago. Anyway it says processing or camera busy or something of the like and cuts out. Hope this helps.

Exactly, best thing to do is just buy an actual fpv camera.

My favourite part was Chad running at the end with the music playing.

It would be cool if you guys took all your footage of Chad running out in a field to get the broken RC's and made a video of it.
You could go over the top, put a cape on and call him super Chad, "when ever there is a fallen RC in need, Super Chad is there!" then cut to all the different scene of Chad running and picking up broken RC's with superman music playing in the back ground LOL

You guys are fun to watch and make this hobby great!
