The following videos are my journey building a 250 size racer quadcopter on a budget. I wanted to see if I like the 250 size quads before fully investing in more expensive parts.
Breakdown of parts and cost (just to build the basic quadcopter not including radio and batteries):
- Frame: ZMR250 Fiberglass Quadcopter Frame: $20
- Motors: ZMR 1804-2400kv: $10 each
- ESCs: EMAX Simon Series ESC: $12 each
- Flight controller: KK2 - $30
- Props: 5030 Gemfan: $5
- FPV Camera: Sony CCD: $18
- Transmitter: 200mw mini transmitter: $32
So far I am really liking this quadcopter, it's loads of fun.
