Wolverine and Raptor Hit the Stores

To the FliteTest Community:

This week was huge for the MESArcFF program.  We had two visitors in our classroom, one was for a product presentation, the other to visit and see what the hype was all about at our program.  Gary Kolm from the Colorado HobbyTown USA franchise visited us to hear out the team's product proposals of the MF-1 Wolverine and the MF-22 Raptor.  The goal, to manufacturing everything here at the school, and sold at HobbyTown USA stores in Colorado.  The boys did a great job with the presentation, and Mr. Kolm loved the product, buy enough units of each to fill his stores.  The boys learned a lot from product proposals, business and marketing, manufacturing, etc.  The whole thing is great learning experience for the program, something they will always take away from and leave for future MESArcFF students.

I have been following you guys and these two planes along with the others on your web site are very nice looking planes and from what I see in the videos and their snowballing reputations I would guess to be great flyers. I am itching to get a couple of these and try FPVing them from my full cockpit I build......FT article here

These things scream to be FPVed IMHO. Especially from a custom designed cockpit that looks like it belongs inside one of your jets.......CONGRATULATIONS on your accepted proposal to Hobby Town USA. Thats just great! Really really great!!
All those Kids should be very proud!!

Cheers

Brett,

Thank you for the nice comments, that would be awesome, would love to see that, the students would love to see it too. Keep me posted if you do it or if you need plans, etc. Good luck and loved your work on that FPV system, that is like every kids dream, to build a cockpit like that.

Thanks,
Marshall

Yup.......That CGS (Cockpit Ground Station) is the reality of a 40 year old dream that started when I was around 8 years old. It took 40 years for technology, my pocket book, and the circumstances of life to catch up with my vision. Sometimes I feel a little foolish sitting in it and being a grown man but then I realize I am that kid again and living a dream........lol.
I downloaded the F-22 plans yesterday and got them taped together. I just need to find time to get the parts cut out. With winter up here in Oregon warm space to work is at a premium without Mrs. Hays getting to uptight, but as soon as I get a chance I will spread out on the livingroom floor and cut out the parts. I wish I lived closer to CO as it would be a trip to see the kids fly the CGS with one of their creations. Who knows maybe someday....
Keep up the good work Marshall........where were you when I was a kid in school!!

Brett,
That's funny, I think in order to be a successful teacher, especially at the middle school level, you need to have that inner child, lol. I am blessed that I can teach the subject that I teach everyday.

That is cool on the MF-22, looking forward to it, please let me know whenever you get it done and post a video.

Have fun building and take care,
Marshall

CONGRATULATIONS!! Well done!
I believe I may just be buying a Wolverine in the near future. Even if I never build it, I KNOW the money is going to an EXCELLENT cause!
BTW, there is NO WAY I won't be building it. These two planes are Bad to the Bone!
