Ultra Micros: The AS3Xtra, Icon A5, and the DLG

by PlaneCoolRC | May 27, 2014 | (0) Posted in Reviews

In episode 2 of PlaneCoolRC Tanner and Josh review the AS3Xtra, UMX Icon A5, and their own little creation, an ultra micro DLG. Evan is away on vacation so he will not be in this episode. On this windy day some planes flew better than others, however it was all a good time.

I like the DLG... DONT GIVE UP ON IT!!
add a few degrees dihedral and take off that silly as...whatever it is ,and get the glider balanced in calm weather and a straight glide path.
you will love it,
that first DLG launch was the best!
im still trying to get my cheap r3 dlg to balance but it is really windy the past few weeks!
great video, you guys are having fun!
good luck!

Any plans or design details for the dlg? I'm sure that would be fun to mess around with.

No plans yet, but I'll try to get some out soon. Some details though are the wingspan is 20", it's about 14" long, the wing root chord is 4", the horizontal stab is 5" wide, and the vertical stab is 4" tall.
