Ripslinger RC

Thanks for all the Ripslinger/Slinger posts! It actually inspired me to do the same.
I am not very skillfull with foamboard, so I decided not to go for the Slinger-plan but buy something that resembles the 'Rip'.

So I bought a HobbyKing racer series Edge 540 800mm Epo and started building.
It just took just two cans of spray paint, some self made decals, a bit of black tape for the checkered flag, 4 evenings and Jip (my son) to motivate me to work as fast as I could ;-)

I chose the Edge 540 mainly because the model itself has a nice resemblance to the original Disney Ripslinger I think. I used normal paper labels. Used some internet pics from Ripslinger wallpapers to get it right and some stuff posted on forums. And of course a model 'Rip' as you can see in the movie below.

With all the Ripslinger mania going on in the RC forums I guess it is just a matter of time before some clever Chinese dudes to start mass producing something like this ;-)

I made them in MS-word. Used some internet pics and previously posted decals on this site and than made them all into a document that I printed on Sticker paper.
The checkeredf flag is just black tape which I cut into the required shape.
