Duane and his family drove in all the way from Iowa and stopped by Flite Test on their way to NEF 2015 (North East Ohio Flying Festival) in Akron, Ohio.
Duane's whole family joins in on the fun when flying R/C airplanes.
Noah (age 8) and Griffin (age 5) both started flying at the age of 3!
Noah is flying 3D with his Vengeance EPP airplane from West Michigan Park Flyers.
Griffin is flying the Magnum Reloaded, from WM Prak Flyers. A durable and easy to fly 3-channel airplane.
Duane and his family have some rules in place to ensure the safety for everyone. Things like prop safety and lipo battery safety.
Having rules in place for the whole family is just another way to ensure everyone has a great time with R/C.
Prop savers are another great option for flying with beginners and kids.

Griffin and Noah are just an example of how fun the R/C hobby can be for kids and their families when everyone is involved.
We had a great afternoon with Duane and his family and we want to say thanks for taking the time to stop by and fly with us!

Please make a EPP foamie trainer.
What I am looking for is a really tough plane to teach the kids on. 4 channel EPP , with a big dihedral. I really prefer a pusher prop or possibly a slot prop, so the prop does not get banged up. The idea is that I won't have to repair it every time they put it in the dirt.
I see that WM Park Flyers have a 4 channel version and that is the closest that I have seen yet. I found a EPP foam plane on ebay, (from Korea) that was a good candidate, but the wings were short and no dihedral.(not as forgiving as I would want)
