If you noticed I was having radio trouble long before I went in to the line I have flew around those towers before. I had a problem with the 9XR.. signal seemed to come and go or it was my eagle tree system one. I will never know due to someone getting my plane before I could get there. I have the word out and I have the vid. Maybe someone will come forward?

I've seen people fly fpv near power lines and be just fine. You are saying power lines interfer with fpv? What gear were you using? Did you fry it all in the crash?

He wrote 'flipped dragon on high' indicating the use of the Dragon Link UHF.. All videos I've seen with people flying near power lines were 2.4ghz with 5.8ghz.. I've seen EzUHF near powerlines but that was LOS flight

well EMI or not, the pylons tend to get in the way too :P and can be expensive if you cause damage or get caught crashing into one!

Off the subject, sort of. Can you explain how the artificial horizon works. It appeared that the AH was not really in sync with the actual horizon, even right at take off. Is it supposed to be? Am I missing something?

One thing about power lines that you have to realize is that they can have lots of radio frequency noise throughout the radio spectrum; all it task is arcing at the insulator. I have traced down lots of radio interference to power lines. Just be aware.
