To the FliteTest Community;
In the previous article, Colton showed off the MF-22 maiden and the plane did exceptionally well. Hoping that this plane would be download a few times, and the questions would be rolling in on how do you build this plane, Colton put together a build video showing viewers how to go about creating the plane. Step by step he shows how to construct the plane, with the exception of placing on equipment for the sake of time. If you would like to see how he accomplished this, please visit our Wolverine build, he used this approach to mount his servos.

Thanks and enjoy,
On the plans, all lines marked in RED are fold lines, RED lines that have no GREEN lines around them are just fold lines, no bevel required.
Lines marked GREEN indicate that a bevel needs to go there in order to fold the foam board to its desired shape.
All notches in this plane should not be cut through, however, they should be cleaned out, we like to use a flat head screw driver seen here.
Beveling seen here.
Place glue inside the fold/bevel lines to form the fuselage seen here.
Our customized motor mount helps keep the form of the fuselage as well. To download our motor mount plans, please use the following link: http://media.wix.com/ugd/fe25e6_8b2472256d6e20827cdec52d3fe26abd.pdf
Drifit the top plate on the fuselage to insure everything is straight.
Use masking tape to help seam fuselage nose piece to form.
Make sure the top plate is inline with the motor cutout section of the bottom plate, glue down.
This step could happen anytime you have the fuselage piece completed, Colton choose to insert the motor in during this stage.
Example of glueing the seams for stronger construction.
The wing supports are very important, they allow the wing to grab onto the top and bottom plate pieces for better construction.
The glueing of the wings is tricky, take your time, sandwhich it in, and make sure they are both equal to each other and perpendicular off the fuselage piece.
As you see here, glue the top first, then the bottom piece to the wings.
Constantly checking to make sure the wing is straight.
Another shot of the back of the plane.
Place the stabilzers in the notch shown on the video and place at a 45 degree angle. Make or use the template provided in the plans for this application.
For servos, please see Wolverine Build video for this process http://flitetest.com/articles/Wolverine_Build
The canopy is beveled on almost every edge and glued together, to see this process please visit link above.
Hope you had fun with the build, now go ahead and fly the bird!
