Maiden of my Spectra V2

by cableline01 | July 7, 2013 | (4) Posted in Just Fun

This was a weekend build of my own Spectra V2. I wanted to see how it look from the Sky so i strapped a point and shoot camera to the top o the plane. After the first run i found out the camera was not recording. So after having to tape the tail back we went for a 2nd run. The wooden shalfs that were holding the tail flexed to much so it was hard to controll the pitch so it was a rocky ride. Hope all enjoy.

Nice plane, Its the best FPV design out there, maybe try to balance the prop.. its vibration that's causing the jelloing.. but its looking good.

I will try to balance it better, it was a last min flite. I have to fix the tail i need to add carbon fiber shalfs so the tail wont flex. Thanks for the comments. Sorry about the locked video. This was my first youtube post in my life..

Maybe tail is just a little oversize, you dont get much from making it big, maybe just cut it smaller before adding carbon or making it more complex than it needs to be..

Where do you have your cg? It looked to me it was a little tail heavy.

The Cg was about 3/4 from the front of the wing. But i found out that the wooden dowls that i was using were to thin and flexed to much so i keep having to give throddle and pitch up. I have bought new ones to fix the issue.
