FPV flying together with Girlfriend til Cops came!

by RCSchim | July 4, 2014 | (8) Posted in Just Fun

This was my first coop FPV session with my Girlfriend. I could convince her that flying FPV with a quad is really easy and I also built a cheap quad out of spare parts (so a crash wouldn't be a high loss). She really enjoyed flying around on that field. The first flight alone was slow and cautious, then on the 2nd one we already flew together...and the 3rd was...stopped by the cops ;-)
(at 0:51 you hear someone in the distance shout something - that friendly guy must have called the cops even if we didn't fly over his property...).
After a short intro on my copters the police let us go with a warning and funny enough they said: "it's good to meet some normal people from time to time"

Interesting one.. What did the cops actually stop you for? Was it because you were flying near houses? I would be interested to know.

they came for a visit because a nearby living angry man called them. he calls them often for stupid reasons but they can't ignore him - otherwise he complains about them...

true love often involves the police at some point
like the words of Jerry Reopelle "we did it on the front porch...we did it on the swing...we did it til' the sheriff came, then it got obscene"

Well, the Police can choose if they want to go or not on a call. It's not up to the public. At least here in Sweden and I assume the same is true in Germany.

If you call the police in Germany they have to come and at least have a look as far as I know. They can take their time though if they feel it's not that important. Also they can try and talk you out of it - "It's mere nothing, do we really have to come?". In that case you might have to pay for their service.

Also they can tell you to come to the station if the crime is not "in progress" anymore.

"Fühlen Sie sich ermahnt oder sowas." :-D

One of the cops says at the end: "So you are kind of being admonished or something." - basically he wasn't sure what to do :)
