Every plane has a story.
Some are worth telling.
I was at a friends house one afternoon and spied a couple of wing cores in the trash.
BOING! What are doing with those cores? Answer: Throwing them away.
YOINK! Cores ride home in my truck!
Glued them together and cut some sweep into them.
The vision for this plane since it came from a trash can was to set it up for component testing.
All the servos the radio and other stuff were just zip tied to the plane.
BAM- Fast forward to maiden and testing. Once I got it trimmed and balanced I really liked it.
Flew fast and on rails. Took it home a buried all of the electrics for a slicker install.
This became one of my fastest planes and a field favorite.
Glides a little fast for combat but flew plenty of combat missions anyway.
Some departures from the CTH build techniques left me with some torn wings from time to time but nothing that couldn't be repaired.
Fast forward to today and did some testing with 4s 2200. FAST!
Ignored the wind and stuffed it in a couple of times but it's still a great flyer.
I love Gorilla Glue and Gorilla tape.
I'm not a rocket scientist but I am a plane surgeon!
This plane is known as the Trash Can Wing or The Hot Rod.
The closest thing in the CTH lineup to this guy is probably the Rebel or maybe the Vertigo.
Anyway, keep building testing and flying. Winter is coming...
Built a Baby Blender- Loving it.
Finished some kits laying around.
Fixed some of my old planes and got some new batteries.
Havinf fun flying whenever we can!
