Chris, I haven't soldered my headers on backwards, but I definitely have soldered them into the wrong SIDE of the board. Did a beautiful soldering job, one of my best. Since then I've had an extra board laying around in case I ever broke one and needed one badly enough to desolder a billion pins. Hasn't happened yet.

Oh lol, David sewing with CA is a classic. I once had to use staples for an emergency repair, I thought that was dangerous enough they never tried to spontaneously combust though lol.

Just a warning, you mentioned filing carbon fiber,make sure if you file or saw carbon fiber components that you wear a mask. Anything you can do to prevent breathing the dust is a good thing.
