FYI, looks like you've got an HTML error. There's a /> at the end and nothing under "Hunter's crash".

I lightly glued my Radian spar into one wing half, so that's where it lives. Also, I marked the centre point of the spar with white Typex so that I can visually check that equal length is in both wing halves: if it slips I re-tag it.

Maidened my Sukhoi 29mm last week at a club that I just joined, nice to have a real runway, which I found I needed most for landing. Messed up the first landing, but it was ok after that, landing speeds seemed to need to be faster than I was used to.

Yes Anon you need to come in a little hot or you bounce the landing gear.

Another thought about the Radian. I don't like the flight characteristics of mine, it is very reluctant to fly level, perhaps only at one speed. Watch... YouTube, Parkzone RADIAN Modification & Tuning Clinic, Paul Naton, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E5dQVqPivXY . I've talked to Paul about this and the main issue, the tailplane angle (decalage) CofG relationship, is the same for both the Radian and the 'Pro'. Haven't actually done it yet... but any day now, it looks like an easy fix. Good luck.

The Viking sent me that link ;)

Once I get the plane later this week I'll see how it feels. I'm looking forward to having it with me at FF2015.

Anon, I have done this mod long ago on my first radian. If it's pretty calm out I like it but if it's windy I prefer my other stock radian-chris

I just shared this on the forums, but I'll post it here too since this podcast inspired me to post it:

When doing preflight check of control surfaces and seeing that they don't bind, have a person hold the plane for you, and simulate how the plane would move when you do the different stick movements. This is _especially_ useful for ailerons - if you move the stick to the left, you'd expect the person holding the plane to roll it left. Since they only look at what the plane actually is doing and not your stick movements, you get a very visual confirmation that the servo directions are correct.

I used a painters extension pole once to get a plane out of a tree, worked like a charm. Got it at Home Depot and it telescopes out to 23'.

Lol this makes me think of my crashes and enjoy them. Let's just say you CAN control a Aircore Messerschmitt in 15 mph wind with gusts but a wind gust forces your plane down when inverted... Espeshaly when your doing an inverted low pass to try and show off at almost full speed into the wind. It happened so fast that it was on the ground befor I cud cut the throttle. I was holding steady at about 10ft off the ground when she went down. A walk of shame and some hot glue and new prop adapter later she's flying again.
