In today's episode we have a special guest from Team Hitec! Many of you probably know Nick Frederick also known for his decal hobby/business nachocheese.com Nick tells us a little bit about how he got into RC and his early adventures in 3D flying. We also discuss little bit about his involment with Team Hitec and his new decal design projects with Aerobeez.

When you are in RC for a while or are just getting into it, definitely the most eye catching of any other kind of flight is probably 3D flying. There are so many awesome maneuvers, smoke is often involved and demonstrations are always crowd favorites. We discuss a little bit with Nick on how he eased into some more advanced flying and the best ways to get introduced to that side of the hobby. Curious, how long did it take David to find his plane after the space launch?

I use circular polarized antennas on my FPV plane. I fly 2,4Ghz FrSky and I heard they have not-so-good stock antennas, so I ordered some cloverleafs from a local guy who makes awesome RC antennas. I got TWICE the range on ground. Range test distance increased from 50 meters to about 100 meters. Iv never even heard the RSSI warning from my telemetry when flying FPV. Though I only go to maximum of 2 km.

Also Josh mentioned he know very little people who've started without a mentor. Well I happened to star all by myself with the help of people from RC forums and I really appreciate people who provide their counsel and help newbies on the forums.

For Matthew from Australia: I get foamboard from my local art supplies shop. Alternatively OfficeWorks sell foamboard (http://www.officeworks.com.au/retail/search/foamboard).
