This is my build of the FX-61 Phantom FPV flying wing avalable at HobbyKing.com.
This is how the PNF kit arrives. The stock electronics are OK!
These are the small parts. I wouldn't use the glue, i used 5min epoxy. The props are also very soft and bad, so get a better 9x6 pusher prop!
First epoxy the carbon main spar into one wing. Remember to push it as far to the wingtip as possible.
Push the spar through the fuselage and into the other wing. I put some epoxy into the fuselage as well as into the other wing.
Then glue the two fins on.
It's time to install the electronics. I also added about 60g onto the LiPo because the 3300mAh is a little too light.
The build is now done. Before you put the GoPro or any camera on, i'd do a testflight.
The recommended throws and the CG are absolutely perfect for this plane. I fly with 100% throws and 25% expo.
The GoPro "mount"
I put my GoPro 2 just onto the nose, where you can see a little hole to open the very strong hatch.
Hold the camera in place, and mark the edges. You must put the back of the camera about 1 millimeter in front of the little carbon tube to hold the hatch.
Cut a hole a little smaller than the GoPro, so it will be held in place better.
Make a test fit. Here you can see the little gap between the carbon fiber tube and the back of the camera.
Then put the hatch on, and cut the front off. Do not cut through the plastic piece which holds the hatch.
Just like that.
Finally put your GoPro in place and secure it with a velcro strap.
