in this article i explain how to make with 3D printer a whistle for rc plane and the test of this whistle.
I wanted to put a whistle on my planes or my bombs for more realism but I did not find whistle in the shop for the rc planes, I then found a whistling missile and I bought it.
after extracting the whistle from the missile I took the dimensions to reproduce it to the 3D printer
but before make the 3D print i want to try if the sound is good and i put missiles on my cargo twin, you can listen the sound of the missiles in this video
i think the sound is good and i make the 3D printing
you can see in this pictures the results and i put the files for making your own whistle
you can modify the scale for more large plane or more small
and you can see and listen the result with the whistle mounting on my prime jet 8
what is important is that the angle between the whistle and the front of the aircraft is 90 ° with the whistle nose to the front of the aircraft. By changing the angle of the whistle we can do little that it whistles only when the aircraft dive like during the attacks of the German planes stukas Junkers Ju 87

The recent one I printed may work (it does if I blow into it)
But seems kinda big and heavy. 30cm diameter at the base and 70cm tall.
Printing a scaled down one now to see if it works. I think my first one was just too small.

My whistle didn't work.
Wondering, is the bottom of the whistle maybe supposed to be left open?
Also, just glued mine stick on top of the plane, maybe it needs to be mounted flush to a surface like on your plane?
Maybe I need to just print it bigger?
