thanks guys.. id like to keep all the wires and cables hidden below as much as I could.. this just might be a prototype so to speak.. ill probably remove the power strip. i just used it here as Im not yet that good in putting multiple switches but ill definitely improve it.

its auto detect NTSC/PAL so thats a +, given the cheap price, its a good monitor to start with.

DVR recording options: continuous, motion-detect, mixed recording. takes a little bit to familiarize different settings but should not be a problem getting used to..bdw, edited the article already. thanks i ddnt know that..

Looks good man.... Total cost and time to finish? Any issues leaving your RX in the box vs. outside the box?

rough estimate would be less than $ 200 and build time 20-30 hrs, i used this one http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=15281
and place it on the top outside part of the briefcase

Thats a really good job man. Looks really tidy. I'm thinking about an FPV station and may emulate this.

Looks great. Could you add some text as well, to list what components you used, and where you bought them from?

That's very neat and tidy! I purchased the HK power board as well but never used it for my ground station. I like your setup very much!
