Good point, I even want to mount one prop not 90 degreed but more to the back to give the attacking prop more clean air. Yes the proof is in the pudding. :-) Log In to reply
No, I notice almost non los. I was surprised to but because I reverse the direction when upside down, the prop are always moving in their correct way. Log In to reply
Are you switching the prop direction mid-flight to get the thrust reversal? What kind of ESC/Flight Controller are you using to do this? Or did you design something yourself? Log In to reply
Nice!! I've seen a lot of quad video's but this is the first I've seen that goes inverted, how do the gyro's react to the inverted flight?

Balancing :-), I balanced each prop but I did not balance them together on the motor, First I wanted top test it. I had no vibration on the arms so I left it.
You need to have stiff props, I used Gaui ones and gives you a nice sound but to much flex. Log In to reply

in effect, the props will be equally efficient/inefficient on either side.
TT, from the stills it looks like the efficient prop is always be under the inefficent one. Have you tried it the other way?
I'd think the efficient prop getting the freshest slice of air would work best (but nothing beats experience).
