From the secret design facility in Colton’s room comes the the successor of the TLAR Drone…
I present to you, the TLAR Drone v2
After the quick demise of the TLAR Drone v1 due to radiolink problems, I quickly started on v2. Main differences in v2 include: forward swept wings, 6inch greater wingspan, elevated H-tail, more aerodynamic fuselage.
All the electronics are the same, except the propeller is a 10×4.7 slofly instead of the 9x5x3 on the v1. The new prop is much slower than the three bladed, and also makes the motor very hot. I am going to install a more powerful motor today and see if it helps. As you can see, it is a little slower than the v1.
All in all, the TLAR Drone v2 flies pretty well. It will be a good plane for me to practice fpv on, and is much more stable than the v1.
