This Episode features 8th grade student Jake working on a plane donated to the program this past semester from a gentlemen who recently passed away. This gentlemen had a love for remote control planes, and had been making them for the past 40 years. This particular plane called the Zagi, which we have never heard off before acquiring the plane, was said to have been built and flown in the mid 90s. After being placed on the shelf for over 20 years, it was placed in the hands of a MESArcFF student to refurbish, the plane flew amazing and it proved to be very durable, even after 20 years of existance. We are trully grateful to have had this experience with this plane and the gentlemen that dontated the craft.

Jake before the flight, nervous but ready to rock n roll.
Jake pointing out what he had to do in order to get this plane ready for flight.
The new Zagi doesn't have this fuselage feature anymore, it was actually a really nice feature and made it easy for CG calibration.
Here is the new Zagi feature.
The launch, always hard to throw a wing plane, trying to get it level on the throw is tough, but we got it!
Pushed the Zagi a little too hard, lost airflow under the wing and it went down hard, however, not a scratch on it, picked it up and flew it again.
All smiles, good job Jake!
