TBRC Boomer - A foldable fpv wing

I present to you the Boomer, from TBRC Wings.

Have you ever wanted to go flying, but carting a big aeroplane around was just too much of a chore? Do you like to ride your bike or public transport to a flying field? or are you fniding that all your big planes are just hard to store at home without taking up too much space? Then this plane is for you!!!

It's a 40 inch fpv flying wing that can fold up to fit into a small bag, perfect for transporting to either your local flying field or for putting it in your hand luggage as you take this on holiday with you. It's made from super tough EPP foam so you can be assured this wing can take a hit and not show any signs of damage.

You may recognise me from the guy who created the Flitetest Member Map. (by the way, you guys are all awesome for how polite you are in requesting your pins get added. You all rock!)

I got into the hobby thanks to Flitetest and I've since teamed up with Team Basement RC (TBRC) to bring to you my Boomer, and I'm very excited about it. It's getting close to the final stages of being a prototype and should be hitting our store soon. I just wanted to share with you what is the perfect flying wing for me.

I'm sure many of you will appreciate having a tough, portable, stable fpv platform that you can take anywhere.

Here is the video showing how you can fold it up to make it super easy to transport

Coming Soon!!!

I've been working on this for a long time now, and I'd love to hear your thoughts on it.

We're working on developing a carry bag for this too, so it'll make taking this on holiday even easier for you. I'm glad you like the design. I'm very excited for it too.

Awesome! I live in a city and don't have an SUV to transport a giant bird to locations for flying, so this is perfect. What type of flight times and range are you getting on the 2200 3s?

I hear you mate. That's the reason I designed this plane. It makes getting to the good flying sites so much easier. Right now I have a 1350kv motor on it and I am getting about 12-15 minutes from a 2200 3s. If I used a slightly lower kv motor i think i could get up to about 15- 18minutes of cruising (obviously not flat out). The equipment bay is big enough to actually take 2 2200 batteries. I haven't had a chance to test this setup yet, but I'd imagine you'd get a whole lot more flight time :) I'll get back to you once i've tested this

I just went for some flights today. with the same motor setup as before, this time i was flying with fpv, so I could monitor my battery. I got almost 20 minutes of flight time from a 2200mah battery!!! Some flying at full speed, most of the time was just cruising around. I'm very happy about that

Hey Bro, Nice wing sign me up for one please. I started on a plane that I could fold up as I'm in a bloody powered wheelchair an it's really a pain in the a$$ to bring anything at this point except my quad or the versa an even thats tough for me so a BIG thanks! Oh yea, what motor/esc/battery/prop are you going to suggest on this wing? Cant wait, are you in the states? Anyway awesome idea!!!

Hey mate. That's a shame you're in a wheelchair. we'll be getting this on sale soon, so hopefully you wont have to wait too long. i designed the plane around a 2200mah 3s battery, you can use whatever motor and combo you like. i am using the emax GT2210-11 1450kv motor and an 8x4 prop. this should give you 1:1 power to weight ratio. I like my wings to be sporty, but you could use a lower kv motor if you want longer flight times. I'm in Canada. so not too far away.
