On our way down to SEFF this year we decided to take a little side quest to check out Stone Mountain.
We got up bright and early to catch some amazing shots of the sunrise and the park itself. Check out the screenshots below!
If any of you are near Stone Mountain we highly recommend that you check it out in person. It's an absolutely beautiful park.
Thanks to audible.com for sponsoring this episode! If you want to pick up a FREE audio book, visit audible.com/flitetest.
But a bigger thanks to our full time sponsor, YOU! We wouldn't be able to do any of this without your support and we love you for it.
Where's the coolest place you got to do some FPV? Let us know! Chat it up in the forums!

When you guys were on top of the mountain, I am sure you saw some large weird pockmarks in the mountain. Years ago they used to fill them in with asphalt, hopefully they have changed to concrete by now... The are where Lightning strikes hit the mountain hundreds of times a year. hence the warning sirens and massive grounding straps on the building on top of it. They have one of the worlds most advanced Lightning prediction systems there.. since it can happen in broad daylight, even on a sunny day if conditions are right (personal experience with that).
You actually can fly off the top of the mountain, the trick is to go full throttle straight up with No hesitation... to break free of the wind flow.. and then land down at the base where friends are waiting for it.
I has a long and "checkered" history... interesting in it's own right... but truly an amazing sight.. and hopefully they still run the "3D" laser show during the summer... which is increadable.
