Flite Test Needs Your Help!

At Flite Test, we thrive on feedback from our community. We recently asked you to submit your questions on Facebook…and today Josh and Josh are here to answer them!

Here are some of the questions you asked!

Will David Windestål be at Flite Fest?

Yes, the Swede will be joining us at Flite Fest 2016!

Will there be any new obstacles/attractions at Flite Fest?
Yes! We’ll be adding a new obstacle race course, an FPV freestyle area, and much more. We’re also hoping to bring back the Flappy Dudes of Flite Fest 2014 fame. :)

Will there be a way to get technical help with electronics at Flite Fest?
Yes! Flite Test crew members and community members will be showing different skills during the Flite Test Building Series.

Will there be more large plane designs?
Yes! We’re planning to create some crazy designs with our Water Resistant Foam Board in the future.

Will other plane designs be made available in FT Water Resistant Foam Board?
Yes! From here on out, all kits in the FT Store will be made with water resistant foam board. White foam board will still be available as an option. We’re also working to make previously released FT kits available in Water Resistant Foam Board

Can you make a water resistant boat?
Community member Ben Preston beat us to it. Check out his boat built from water resistant foam board!

Will water resistant foam board be available at other stores besides the FT Store?
We hope so! If there are any hobby stores or craft suppliers that you’d like to see have FT Water Resistant Foam Board, let us know at support@flitetest.com.

Can you do full scale Friday updates?
Yes! We’re planning to do Full Scale Fridays, which will include new and different content geared more toward full scale and general aviation. But before we do Full Scale Fridays, we need to add some new video production team members to our Flite Test family. Keep an eye on Facebook for updates!

Which FT plane do you guys consider the best trainer/first plane to try?
Some of our favorites include the FT Explorer, the Tiny Trainer, and the Simple Storch.

How can you learn to fly scratch builds confidently?
Start by flying trainers in a nice open space and take your time. Remember, scratch builds can always be repaired and rebuilt!

How can I start a club at my school?
Talk to your teacher and share the information and curricula available at ftstem.com. You can also start an after school club by visiting ftgroups.com.

What is your favorite development in the R/C hobby over the past 10 years?
Our favorite development is our incredible community. We love seeing people build together, fly together, crash together and do it all over again. It inspires us to do what we do every day.

Stay tuned to the Flite Test Podcast for answers to the rest of your questions, and thanks for being part of our community!

We thrive on your feedback, so please share suggestions, ideas and anything else you want with us on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Periscope, at support@flitetest.com or in the comments section below!

I'm pretty stoked about Full-scale Friday! Sounds like huge potential. One thing I would like to see, and something I miss from older episodes is the challenges and build-off's! I know they take more time but they are very, very interesting!
