Simple Homemade Toolbox (w/ labeled blueprints)

by RCF1596 | November 29, 2013 | (0) Posted in How To

Here it is! The simplest of all toolboxes that can still hold loads of stuff. Made of easy to find 1/2" plywood, a 1" diameter dowel, some screws, and a bit of wood glue.

 here's another angle.

Here's a look at a few things I have in mine.

And the lower compartment. Lots of room for the most important items, tape and popsicle sticks!

The blueprints are not to any scale. All measurements should be there. The cross-hatch lines represent the ends of pieces and the dashed lines are hidden lines. (in other words, an object on the far side of the foremost piece and you can't see it.)

Very nice. I bought a large tackle box with 5 removable storage containers. I think I will do this for a field box instead of the tackle box. Use the tackle box inside to keep all my scratch-building tools and supplies. Thanks for sharing.

No problem! I came up with this as a project for construction class. it was designed from the beginning to be easy to make, spacious, and sturdy. Mission accomplished haha
