Scratch Build Viggen

This was a custom scratch build that I did over the last few days of summer. The day that school started I came home and spray painted and installed the reciever. I have a Dr. Mad Thrust alloy dps 68 mm 4000kv motor inside along with a turnigy trust 70 amp esc. I wanted to get the maximum thrust out of this jet, so I put in a 4s 2450mAh 30c battery that I estimate will give me about five minutes of flight. After painting the plane and weighing it i calculated its top speed at around 80 miles per hour. This is my first edf jet so if anyone has any pointers please tell me.

Side view. I stil need to install the pushrods on the elevons.

Front View.

Back view. The spraypaint i used ate away at the foam. When i was building this the paper on the back plate peeled off and i didnt think it would do anything. So if you are scratch building be carefull!

Also, when painting with a rattle can ,hold about 18" away. The propellant is what eats the foam ,and by holding away you give it a chance to evaporate before it has a chance to eat the foam.

You must be careful to use very LIGHT coats when using spraypaint on DTF.
