Reykjavík City (QAV500G)

Hi guys

Here is a little video I made from some of the footage I took this winter. The location is Reykjavík city (the capital of Iceland and it is also the northern most capital in the world). Most of the footage is from December when we have only about 4 hours of daylight. Notice how low the sun is even though it is in the middle of the day!

Hope you guys will like it :)

Man you have amazing videos. And just because you have a gimbal doesnt mean the footage will be amazing, it takes practice to get smooth yaw motion and a steady height like you are able to do. Amazing

Let me be the first to ask the annoying question, what is your setup? I saw QAV500. Motors, speed controls, gimbal? This video is super smooth with interesting content. Thanks.

No doubt the footage is beautiful. However I still wonder about the advisability of flying over crowds or highly populated areas where, if an incident were to occur, the chances of bodily injury of those unsuspecting people on the ground is maximized.

Regardless of where this is in the world, I'd much rather keep this use of aerial photography out in nature. Doing this activity out away from any innocent bystanders, make any naysayers look like fools. Doing it over a congested city, make the naysayers look completely sane and prudent. Had this been a US city, this video would be one more arrow in the FAA quiver in their recent attempts to shoot down our hobby.

You are right. I did try my best to fly safely and responsibly, but that is maybe just not enough. I have been asked to fly over concerts and crowds, but that is something I will never do. I do realize that these things can fall from the sky. Thank you for the comment.

A very reasoned response.
It is an extremely beautiful city you live in...it looks like a picture book!!!
