Resurrection of the Mig-29

Once in a while you want something new, you want to feel the adrenaline rush through your veins. I had almost forgot my planes I left up on the attic more than a year ago! Why did I put them there? Because my garage is full of planes! So, one day I decided to go up there with my camera and microphone and bring my RCPowers Mig-29 V1 back to life.

Found this beauty up on the attic. Even though it have been there for a significant amount of time, it looks just the way I left it more than 1 year ago. It's painted orange and got aluminium tape drops. It needs some minor repairs, but nothing major.

All I did was to fix the rudders, chopped up foam, install electronics and gave it a thumb up! It's the Turnigy 2836 with a 6x4 propeller and a 40 amp Plush speed controller.

CG seems to be alright but already from the beginning I was worried that the big motor would rip the plane apart in mid air.

Looks good...

Nope, way too much weight on the left side of the plane.

After some adjustments I got it flying perfectly, just the way it flew when I first built the plane. And with that motor I could probably have flown it to space! It was incredibly fast and I even managed to do a couple of "Pugachev's Cobra" maneuvers.

I swear that tree moved! Well well, the plane handled the crash very well, just some minor damage. However, it was a nice day of flying and I really enjoyed making this video! It's a little bit different format than I usually do and hopefully you will enjoy it!

Thanks for watching and happy flying!
