After an accident with the octo, i've got 2 motors shaft broken. Since there isn't a replacement shaft, i bought one of the following shaft and use it with the DT750. The steps for DT700, DT900 and DT1000 are similar:

I use a small socket that the shaft just fits into resting on the vise to support the bell as I drive out the shaft. I've bent bells by not supporting the hub and don't forget the locktite for the set screw. I just did this to 7 dt750's, I wish they sold them with a straight shaft or bolt on prop adapter. i hate the threaded end, it's going to break there for sure. This is actually and easy repair, the trick is to use a heavy vise to work on and use firm direct taps on the shaft. If you pound hard on the shaft it will flare out and not fit out of the hole. Patience is your friend as shown in the video. This video is good to illustrate that it is easy to fix a broken or bent shaft, you don't have to chuck the motor.
