This is the second and final incarnation of my Night Climber (Nine Eagle Sky Climber)
After flying version one I realised how important it was to have light on top of the wings. So in this video I show you how I got around this problem using about $4 £2.50's worth of components.
First I ordered 2 of these brilliant light boards from Hobbyking for $1.99
I cut off the plugs and mounted them at a slight down angle on to a lollystick using hot glue. Do this with both boards and fill the recess with a little extra glue to make sure they maintain there angle and stay stuck together well.
When you glue them make sure you route the wires to where you want them, then solder the two red and two black together in pairs of their own colour.
Make a slice in the top of the foam between the wings on the top of the fuselage and drop in some hot glue. Then quickly slide in the lolly stick and hold until set. Hook up the wires to the ESC (battery side) and you're good to go. Now go fly and have some fun =)
I hope you liked this idea, I bet there are tonnes of ways to use it. I am building an FPV tricopter next and you can bet your bottom dollar I am gonna be running a pair of these on the front for night FPV =)
