Multiplex FunCub XL Review

by FliteTest | May 29, 2016 | (7) Posted in Reviews

We checked out a supersized version of an iconic model that has been around for a long time: the Multiplex FunCub XL.

Designed as an aerobatic tug, this plane can be flown just about anywhere. We decided to put the FunCub and our piloting skills to the test by passing the transmitter among the FT crew.

First we challenged Peter to hover with the FunCub.

Then Josh tested the slow flight capabilities.

Finally we handed Stefan the controls to see how the FunCub flies for a novice.

We had a lot of fun flying this plane and seeing what it can do. We hope our “pass the transmitter” has given you an idea of the experience you can have when flying the FunCub.

Hey does Multiplex make floats for the FunCub XL? All the competitors (Tundra, Carbon-Z Cub) seem to either come with floats or have them available.
