Who isn't a sucker for a DC-3? Flyzone released a couple of products for the first time in a LONG time. We also love micros here so we are excited to "flight test" these when they are released. DC-3s made rapid, long-distance air travel comfortable and accessible to far more passengers. They blazed trails for future airliners and they’re still flying today.
As soon as we can get our hands on one, we will update this article with a video. It looks like a really fun size for a much-beloved aircraft. Check out the store listing for more info: Micro Douglas DC-3
Military Varient
But wait! That's not all. Flyzone is also releasing the Douglas C-47 version of this aircraft. As many of you know the C-47 is a trimmed down military version of the DC-3.
Designed for troop transport, it's service began in 1941 and was invaluable throughout the war effort. One of it's most notable uses was to drop paratroopers into France on D-day which marked the beginning of the liberation of Europe. In some areas, the aircraft continues to serve to this day!

Both of these airplanes only come in a Ready to Fly version at the moment which is kind of a bummer. However it wouldn't be shocking to see a PNP version in the future. If you get a chance to fly either one of these, drop us a comment below and let us know what you think!
