To the FliteTest Community;
The MESArcFF ELITE program is proud to announce its first student designed project called the MF-35 Lighting. The creator is 9th grade student Jake Jepson who has been with the program since 7th grade. He has been working on the design for about a semester now and used a series of plane designs to come up with the prototype presented in this article. Designing planes is not new to Jake, he has done over two crazy designs in the past that were successful, however, none entended to be created into a build kit for our viewers. After he presented the design a month back, we knew he had something, and something special. He was able to really capture the design of the aircraft, and still make it easy for assembly just like our hugely successful MF-15 which we have sold over 16 to date, that is really good for a school created company.
Schedule:
Jepson has been busy this past month making it possible to have everything done by the time we leave for break. The MF-35 Template Plans will be coming out next Friday along with the final design's maiden and build video. The kits will also be done and sent over to Altitude Hobbies for sale, those should be release next Friday as well when the build video is released. So check out their store next weekend, there is 5 kits in stock for trial, the last time we did the MF-15 they sold out the first night, so make sure to you get your MF-35 fast by checking the following site.

A big thank you to everyone for supporting the MESArcFF program by purchasing kits, all funds go back to the students.
Thanks,
The MESArcFF Team
Jepson proud to present his design during our review piece.
The prototype allowed us to see that there was still some minor changes to his design in order for it to look just right. For example, he didn't like the way from the front looked, changes were made the air intakes that make it look more like the F-35.
The engine piece was also a minor fix, he wasn't sure why he created it with a hole, in anycase, it is fixed.
Jake setup the control surfaces for Elevron mixing to make it an easy first flight.
Jake has come along way since the Jepson seen here, which during its time, was a very unique and innovative plane design.
Jake working on his plane.
Cool shot by the Quadlugs tricopter for aerial shots flown by Danny Liebert.
Flew amazingly straight and true with no adjustments.
Cool shot onboard the quadlug.
Boths Jakes very happy!
Success!
Jake talking about his flight experience, he did an amazing job.
I am trying to get something similar going in our local school but you are WAY Far ahead of us.
Are the adults there all teachers?

I can't wait for the plans. I just built the RCPowers version of the F-35, but haven't maidened it yet. Once I get the plans and the electronics I'll definitely build one! The F-35 is one of my favorites!
Keep up the good work.
