MESArcFF Fly Day!

To The FliteTest Community;

This episode features some highlights of our first ever MESArcFF Fly Day with Alumni from past seasons.  It was on quick notice, and we wanted to see if it was even possible.  It ended up being pretty successful, we had over 15 students and some more adults come swing by to fly and share stories. The main reason for doing the fly day was to bring back some of the major players of our program and to fly and have fun.  After middle school most of these students just give up the hobby, give up designing, and sell their equipment.  There is nothing at the high school for them to continue what they have learned at the Middle School level.  A goal of the MESArcFF program was to eventually expand to the high school, but needed to solidify the middle school program first. With the middle years program estabilished and running, it is now possible to expand to the high school. So we are proud to announce that this upcoming Fall we will be having a MESArcFF program at the High School level.  We are calling it MESArcFF Elite.

Ex MESArcFF students as well as other high school students from Loveland High will have the opportunity to expand the skills learned in MESArcFF at the next level. The Engineering concept will still take place, however, increased rigour in projects as well as involvement in local aeronautical industries will take place. This program will also continue production on content to be displayed on our show, so stay tune with where the Elite students can take the program.

The program for the 2014-15 school year will be operated at MESArcFF Head Quarters located at Erwin Middle.  It will be offered for Loveland High School students only.

We are very excited to see the next chapter of the MESArcFF Program unfold this upcoming season 5.

As always, thank you for supporting the MESArcFF Program,

The MESArcFF Team

We had a great turnout of our Fly Day, hoping to have more collaborative fly days in the future between the Foam Fighters and the Elite groups.

The value of having the older students back in just that one day was their vast knowledge gained between 8th grade and now.  Danny (a senior next year) seen here was checking the CG of a 3D flyer for one of the 7th grade students.

A special thanks goes out to all the FliteTest Community for watching and supporting the MESArcFF Program. Your involvement is what keeps us going strong. Thank you Thank you Thank you!
