MAKE Magazine and Lucas Weakley have teamed up to bring you "Make Hangar". This is a 15-episode tutorial series that will teach you everything you need to build and fly your first R/C plane, the "Maker Trainer".

This is GREAT! You are doing a great thing bringing more newcomers into the hobby, but..... Why are you leading newcomers to the orangerx T-SIX, it's only DSM2, and DSM2 is much more likely to succumb to interference than DSMX, or so I've heard. Why not lead newcomers to the 9x or 9xr, which they can modify, and grow with?

Probably cost. He is trying to keep it at or below $200.
Personally I am very excited to see this show, it will be a place I can send folks to get them the basic info and hopefully get them started in the hobby.

Lucas, I just finished watching all of the Maker Hanger videos and I have to say that it is probably the best beginner RC video series I have ever seen. I especially liked the first few videos explaining RC components, what they do and how they work. Those of us with a little stick time quickly forget how bewildering these things can be to a newbie. I wish this series had been around when I started the hobby 2 years ago as I can vividly recall trying to find information I could understand about what was a BEC, etc. Really a well done video series that should help out the beginning RC pilot and those of us with a little stick time. Please keep up the good work.
