Knuckle H-Quad

by FliteTest | October 8, 2013 | (27) Posted in Reviews

The new Knuckle Hub Kit is the latest installment of Rotor Bone multirotor components designed specifically for creating unique body configuration.

Similar to the AnyCopter where components can be modified and assembled easily, but the Knuckle Hub kit also gives you the ability to build up and create a much wider variety of airframe configurations.

The multirotors build using the Knuckle Hubs use the standard FT 13370 Straight Motor Mount.

The Knuckle Hub offers room for holding things like the KK2 board and other FPV gear.

Knuckle H-Quad 370 Kit is available in our online store.

The Knuckle H-Quad uses the standard Straight Motor Mount-13-370

The "Blue Wonder" 2712-12 24G - Standard available from LaseyToys.com

Josh used the Knuckle components to make a T-Copter!  The Hub Kit also works with David's camera mount available here!

The H-Quads that we created were all painted matte black.

The small multirotors are designed to be full flying multirotors that you can learn on customize crash and rebuild.

The Knuckle Hub Kits are available in our online store, but for those of you who would like to make your own, here are the free PDF templates. Download here.

Thanks for all of your support and be sure to upload your Knuckle Hub Multirotor designs in the forum HERE!

Awesome video guys! I like how everyone customized their own Knuckle frames. The orange one was my favorite.

BTW, the new logo tees look great. Have you considered selling hoodies? It's been getting a bit chilly here lately.

The black Knuckle looked really sharp, though the orange/black one David built just "pops".

I was just thinking that same thing. How do I learn to fly on of these? It would be great to see you dive into a intro to flying multi-rotors and a good starting point. I think I just found a hobby to get my son interested in. Great job.

Cheers

The scenes of a bunch of guys having fun flying FPV quads is the first time I've had any interest in FPV or investing in Quads . Guess I'll dig out the MQX I got for Christmas and start practicing. Might be good for finding lost planes in the woods. Boy this is hard ,wake up left hand.

Honestly I am a little bit disappointed in this episode as H-quad is not new at all even if you have made a new frame build kit. I really prefered the anybody kit which was more innovative. Optimzed frames like the Tricopter of David make for me sense and also innovative ones like the bat bones or so.
I think I'm used to too good quality from FT episodes to become quickly disappointed by new just high quality ones...
Keep up the good work!

Hi All

I love the simplicity. It's great. I very much prefer tricopter than quads, what lengths are the booms on Josh's tricopter /T copter version? How about the possibility of a v copter from this frame?
Love what you're doing,

Lee

Hi!
I love the Knuckle.
Did also paint it black and used black screws. It just looks awesome.

Do you think there will be a CFK edition? I would love that.

What are the 45° sits for? Would be great to have them parallel to the short side so you can pull velcros through for battary mouting.
