How to build a micro FPV drone?

parts list

  • Where do I start?

  1. Image result for flight controller bee brain eachineStart with your flight controller, take the product out of the package and unbag all the items. You will be left with 1 flight controller, a battery lead, 4 small Philips screws and 4 rubber rings used to dampen the flight controller once installed on the frame.

  2. Image result for e010s frameNext take your frame out of its package, these frames ship overseas from china and might get bent while being shipped. I found the best way to fix this was to get a fairly heavy book and place the frame upside down on a flat table and place the book on top and let it sit while it flattens out.
  3. Image result for eachine aio fpv camera Next take your micro Fpv (first person view) Aio (all in one) camera out of the box and set it aside for a later step
  4. Image result for racerstar 6x15 Unbox your motors and slide them into your frame, the motors have different colored wires, 2 motors have red and blue wires and the other 2 have black and white wires. The front left motor and the back right motor have red and blue wires and the front right and the back left have black and white wires. After you have the motors slid into the frame you can set it aside for a later step.
  5. Image result for soldering iron Next you will need to heat up your soldering iron and take out your flight controller and Aio micro Fpv camera. There will be 2 soldering pads on the back corner of the flight controller, solder the ground wire to the ground pad and the negative to the negative pad (Solder your battery lead on the bottom of the flight controller and your camera leads to the top of the flight controller)
  6. Image result for racerstar 6x15Next plug your motors into the ports designated for your motors on the bottom of the flight controller. They will be numbered 1-4 on the bottom of the board, front left is motor #1, back left is motor #2, front right is motor #3 and back right is motor #4. Position the flight controller onto the frame.
  7. Image result for tiny whoop camera mount Next you will take your camera mount out of the bag and place it over top of the flight controller and screw the 3 screws in through the camera mount and flight controller to secure it all to the frame.
  8. Image result for eachine aio fpv camera Take your micro aio camera and double sided tape it into the camera mount. After the camera is secured place the antenna protector on the camera mount.
  9. Image result for e010s frame stiffenertake your frame stiffener and clip it on the bottom to the 4 motors, while you are doing this you can take your props and slide them on to the motors shafts, after you are done this the next thing to do is put a battery in it and do a test flight. if you are having troubles following along this build make sure to check out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k8IEXKtheXo
  10. enjoy flying your drone and make sure to check out the laws depending on where you live, if you live in the united states follow these guidlines https://www.faa.gov/ or if you live in canada check out these guidelines https://www.tc.gc.ca/eng/civilaviation/opssvs/flying-drone-safely-legally.html
