Hate to be alone? A broadcast from the airfield!

Hello everyone out there!

After I saw a lot of great articles, pictures and videos from Flite Test (and some of the users users at this platform) during the last few months I decided to become a member of this very nice working community, too.

Before we start i have to warn you that my written english isn´t perfect - and if you will watch some of my videos then you will hear that its even worst when i talk ^^. However, i always try to improove and i guess that at the end we all will agree that the most important thing is to understand each other and to have fun together, right?

And this brings us to the topic of the first video that I would like to post at this platform, because its all about communication.

I personally love to watch (FPV) flying videos with background music, especially when they are put together very well, but what I like even more are commented (narrated) videos like the Flite test team is doing them, thats why their youtube channel is one of my favourites.

Now in my case I had until some weeks ago the problem that I couldn´t find anyone who was interested in FPV or in doing these kind of videos togehter with me and so I thought about a solution. The answer? Running a live stream straight from the airfield!

This doesn´t just bring this wonderfull hobby to a new technical level, but it adds also a very interesting perspective and new possibilites to it. And novices (as i am!) can also hide their panicked stile of flying, too ^^!

The following video will show what i mean...

With a bit of knowledge about the internet, a portable computer and a mobile internet device it is very simple to start a live broad cast like that within some minutes and as you saw it can be very entertaining, too.

But can u imagine how amazing this experience could become when your virtual guest can even remotely controll something via the internet on your side, too? No? Well, very soon a little common open source project of a friend and me will be finished - as soon as this is done it will be easier to explain you what i talk about in a new article with a lot more details.

Until then I hope you had some fun to watch the video and to read my first little article.

Thx a lot and much greetings from Italy!

I really enjoyed your flight and set up, thank you.

A suggestion if I may, how about having OSD on the next flight, that would be interesting to watch.

Cheers

Thank you very much :)

Yes you are right, a OSD will need to be in one of my next orders. Right now i work on a Bixler and two other Quadcopters with different setups - the big Copter will get GPS, OSD and (if all works out) a 2nd Cam that can be remoted by a spotter or via the internet - I just can´t wait to get finally all the parts togehter... But i guess u know that feeling :D

and by looking at your other recordings i know it's your camera that generates that high pitch noise (i have a really good speaker set so i can hear it)

A lot of people told me lately about a slightly high pitch (i am sorry that it was disturbing you) in my videos - the problem is that i have a very high pitched tinnitus and that makes it very hard for me to reconise it, probably because its at a very high frequency that i just can hear very barely.

I´ll try to use a filter and to ask someone to listen to some test uploads for me - once i have the right settings i can save it and it should be ok for the coming future.

Thx a lot for ur suggestion :-)

No problem. If you want i have access to both server storage that you can access and 1 Gbit up and down internet connection and would like to help you if you want? i can do the noise cancellation for you?

I do have Rootserver, but my local upload speed over here is just 20 Mbit downspeed and 1 Mbit upspeed what takes ages for these big files to be finally uploaded.

But maybe i could transmitt to you a little file of one miniute or so without editing straight from the cam in this way, so u could take a look what kind of filter i would need? That would be really a great help :D

Really like your idea. but my ears was starting to bleed (joking) because of that high pitch noise. It's a bad, because after reading i was looking forward to see the video. maybe you can upload it again afther running som audio filter to get rid of it?
