FTHQ Tour 2.0

by FliteTest | June 2, 2014 | (14) Posted in News

We've done some growing up over the last year or so. Today, Alex and Josh show us around the new and improved FTHQ.

Here are just a few of the screens below.

This is Max. He's our HR manager.

Our wall of memories has grown significantly and is spreading onto the actual wall.

This is an awesome FPV ground station that Josh built to take to events. Transmitters broadcast right to the screens so when we fly FPV everybody can take a look.

Keep your eyes open for an episode on this in the future!

The most important addition to the HQ, we have a girl gremlin on the bathroom door! If you want to possibly see this logo on some shirts let us know!

None of this would be possible without your support. You are the ones who let us grow into what we are today and we are eternally grateful!

What else would you like to see from Flite Test? Chat it up in the forums!

And thank you for everything you guys do. I can honestly say that with the scratch builds and even the speed builds- I have never been closer with my kids. I never knew my kids would be interested in "Dad's Hobbies", until the day my daughter asked if she could help. She helped build the Spitfire from start to finish (while watching the build video to make sure I did it right). And for that- I thank all of you at FliteTest!

looking good guys. as for the girls gremlin, heck ya! my 9yr old daughter is a flitetest fan, has her own cth wing and she's scratch built her own tricopter and foamboard wings. add this to kicking my butt on rc desk pilot, she definitely needs her own gremlin. i'm hearing more and more about younger kids, especially more girls getting into the hobby. the girl aliens would rock for my kido and i could use them to get more interest in the youngsters out here. hope you get more demand for them.

I do not understand why they are not more open about it. If they are so grateful to the "community" why not communicate openly?
It is sad.

Not sure how I feel about someone else making profit on the content I provide. But I guess I have taken advantage of the free plans and knowledge they have shared along with the hundreds of other contributors unlike many of the other foamy sites which impart very little knowledge. I hope that FT will still operate in a community benefitting fashion and not as a corporate money maker.

They were defintely pushing the "Flite Test won't change" message...I guess time will tell. Ultimately, we will all "profit" from Flite Test in any guise. A great community of "FT Pilots" shareing ideas, experiences and a passion for our hobby. ( I should say at this point that I am more a FT Builder than a FT Pilot...5 planes built...1 flown...total air time of 11 seconds and 8 crashes!!! LOL)

Yer... I just don't know what to think now some corporation is involved. Somehow just doesn't feel the same pushing Ebay already and more to come. I know you got to put food on the table but no mention of the David already cos he's probably not contracted in the deal and it all has a profit based " milk it for all it you can" overtone, unlike the mates in the field having fun and "making memories" not money. The jury is still out, as they say.... I feel a bit sad....

My family (wife and 2 girls) and I are coming to Flitefest, and they all want flitetest clothing. I really hope the girls clothing becomes available!

I hafto say that you guys are living my dream. Inspiring young people to do something that is not only creative but something that they can show off and be proud of for the rest of there life's. I live in Missouri an would love to Come and visit you guys. At the end of the video you had said something about a location for the viewers. That got me thinking... What would I think is a great place to visit, be fun, and some day when I have some kids of my own be more than just a place dad wanted to go so we went. And I think gift shop/hoby store with electronics (servos, battery's,ext.)for crashes and scratch builders, a place to repair and build planes, and an airfield out back. If I had the ability to to this in my community I would in a heart beet. Again I think what you guys are doing is great and keep it up. Hoping to see some new speed build kits soon, they are what inspired me to get back into the hoby. Thank you.
