FT Vector and FT Mighty Mini F-22

Introducing our two new Mighty Minis, the FT Mighty Mini F-22 and the FT Mighty Mini Vector!

The Vector is a mashup of different designs, and a lot of the inspiration came from the SU-47. Peter built his Vector out of FT Water Resistant Foam Board.

The Vector features a removable nose and can be upgraded with a rudder tab to help with yaw control and high alpha. It runs off of Power Pack F, with 2300 kv 2204 motors. The Vector is pretty speedy and flies with great maneuverability.

The FT Mighty Mini F-22 also flies faster and maneuvers better than its larger counterpart. It can run on 2204 or 1806 motors, but if you use 1806 motors, be sure to use something larger than a 2S battery to ensure it has enough power.

Josh and Peter fitted their Minis with boxing gloves to try to knock Alex’s quad out of the sky…but had little success. :)

Peter recently served as a pit technician for the World Drone Prix in Dubai and flew his fixed wing jet around the FPV racing course.

The FT Mighty Mini F-22 and FT Vector speed build kits include FT Water Resistant Foam Board and are now available in the FT Store!

You could simply increase the Tile Scale size of the pdf plans (once released) in Adobe Reader/DC prior to printing. The Mini Vector is already at 25" wing span. Say you want a 35" wing span then increase the print size by an additional 40% to 140%.

This website http://www.skillsyouneed.com/num/percent-change.html gives you the formula as well as a "calculator" to determine percentage increase/decrease. I have found it very helpful in changing size of airplane plans.

Awesome guys. I love the ft-22, and now even smaller. I think I will put a crazy motor/prop config on it like the Arrow. HEHE. Can't wait. :)

Towards the end of the video they state that the f-22 will work with Power Pack A and F and that the vector will work with Power Pack F or possibly a larger motor. In the article it links to "Power Pack B, with 2300 kv 2204 motors". This is incorrect. The 2204 motors are from power pack F. I think Josh mistakenly said power pack B at the beginning of the video.

I was watching this video and thinking to myself how awesome these planes look. Colorful, shapely, and flying great, even in the crazy wind. Then I went and got all nostalgic and started looking back at the oldest videos I could find. Case in point, the FT Flyer. I watched that video start to finish and admittedly I was chuckling all over again. Josh Scott's carrier landing on the heater and announcement of a subsequent video about plane hanging. Hot Glue being Josh Bixlers "preferred glue". Is there anything else? "3 cell, crazy power." Now everyone wants 4 cell. And apologizing for forgetting the "servo screws"... Two words not combined in my vocabulary. Putting that FT Flyer side by side with either of these new jewels it's real quick to see how far they've come in a short span of time. I've been scanning their videos for years but really only got the FT bug a year ago or so. My flight arsenal is small but everything I have was purchased from them. I take that back. The hot glue gun came from Home Depot. :) But everything else I found them a convenient and friendly source of what I need to actually take the plunge and get started in this Hobby. I owe a lot to this group for making it easy and fun. It's something anyone can do. Trust me, if I can do it, anyone can. Sure your A and B folds might not be so crisp and those aileron and rudder 45 degree bevel cuts will make you crazy. But you know what? Who cares? It will still fly!!! Anyhow, keep on making the videos. I'll keep watching!!!
