FT Simple Soarer - REPAIR

by DSGC RC Team | March 24, 2014 | (0) Posted in Projects

Hello Everyone! This is an article by Oscar Leeson of the DSGC RC Team. Today we are featuring the FT Simple Soarer which I build a few months ago but flew in wet weather...

So after a few flights in glider mode, it got wet and the tail snapped off, so I left it in my garage to dry off, but never had the ambition to repair it.

One morning, I woke up and watched Red20RC's video of his Simle Soarer and I remembered how nicely it flew, So I went to the garage and got it out and suddenly realized the huge task ahead of me... firstly, I would have to rip 2 servos out of the wing because I did an aileron mod and had no more servos, second, I had to do it all with tape or CA because I ran out of hot glue.

So, i got the servos out and mounted them to the top of the fuselage to make for easier access to the pushrods since I was using temporary, unadjustable ones.

After that, I glued on the tail feathers, taped up the ailerons and installed my power pod! Now all I need is some nice weather to fly this in!

Thanks for reading this article everyone, stay tuned for the review of this featuring my dad Simon!
