A new design has landed in the FT Store - it's the long awaited P-40!
The FT P-40 is a Flite Test take on the Curtiss P-40 Warhawk, a classic warbird that fought across the world during WW2. This design is so simple to build and fly that anyone can build it as one of their first planes. Straightforward build techniques allow this plane to be folded together in hours. Flights can be relaxing or amped up (quite literally) through swapping out your 3 cell for a more powerful 4 cell battery.

A Brief History of the Curtis P40 Warhawk
The P-40 first flew back in 1938. It was one of the first fighter aircraft to feature a full monocoque fuselage and. metal wings, something quite revolutionary at the time. This strong airframe was fitted with a formidable armament and a sturdy retractable undercarriage that took on all sorts of terrain during the course of the war. By 1944, when production ceased, the P-40 Warhawk had become a well-regarded workhorse, less appreciated than the Mustang, but vital to the war effort. 13,738 were built in total. It operated in North Africa, the Middle East, the Eastern Front, the Pacific and Italy - to name a just some of the places.
Features of the Kit
One great feature of the P-40 is the optional undercarriage that can be easily installed on the underside of the wing. This provides a sturdy base for some takeoff and landing fun.
This foam board model warbird also has the option for a sweet looking spinner to finish your plane with a really scale look.
