Marc has figured out what was causing his Mini Tricopter to fall out of the sky. Fortunately FrSky have a solution with a firmware update. They have a good reputation for listening to their customers. Well done I say.

I've read about this, but seeing it while thoroughly explained is a great deal more interesting - thanks! Maybe you could also explain why they chose a frame length of 27 ms?

Reliability I guess, and 37Hz is fast enough for the Ardupilot which it was kind of written for. There is probably room to put 9 or 10 channels in there now.

I had my tricopter with FRSkyfall out of the air about a month ago and couldn't figure it out. I am glad to see there is a fix or else I wouldn't feel good about flying with the frsky units anymore.
