foam board ''Big stick''

as we all know it sure is hard to throw away some of those old crashed plane parts,we love to recycle and reuse as much as possible, it helps keep costs down and thats always a good thing and that is what led to this build, we had an old tower hobbies trainer wing from a crash long ago and saw that hobbyking just released a foam version of the big stick an the light came on! lets build a foam board body and give the old wing collecting dust a new life! the body is based on the length of the trainer it goes from 5insquared to 31/2  squared at the tail for the taper and it's length is 48in it's powered by a 4s 14,2v 3000mah with a gt3526 and an 80 amp esc turning a 13x6.5 prop

here you can see i used popsicle stick tabs to help support the body when glued

as you can see they were applied to the sides of the body only

looking down the body at the interior bulk heads

installing servo horns and control rods

servos installed cutting rods to length

looking at the motor mount rady for a power plant!

i got the hardware from lowes in the hobby section they make great adjustable mounts

2 12in servo leads were required we opted to put them in the back to help with cg

getting everything tied in to the rx

landing gear is made from 4/16 aluminum strips also bought at lowes for 2$

here you can see the wing before it's final paint, this wing is 20 years old!! hope it holds together!!!

it was such a quick and simple build we did 2 a smaller version for some one else!

the little brother is 3feet long and goes from 4in to 2in at the tail

a little yellow packing tape, some paper decals applied with clear tape and she is looking sweet!! ready for a maiden
