This servo on my Cessna 182 i just replaced for the rudder and after a hard landing the top gear was stripped so i wanted to fix it while i wait for my parts from HK so what i did was...
i filed this little stopper thing until it was flush with the gear,
then i took a thumb tack and removed the plastic and heated it up with a lighter and but it on the flat part where the stripped part was but...
i didn't need to put the thumb tack there i just had to put the gear in the oppsite way so the stripped part is as far from the drive gear and then you're good to go until your part come in

But I do love this idea and next time I strip a servo gear I'm going to do this.
