Hi,
This is my first flight experience ever. The plane is my own design & scratch build.
It was my first attempt & it was a success..)
I was so happy to see my own designed, scratch built plane could fly.
Even though it could fly, there were some mistakes from my side such as :
The CG was not right. It was very tail heavy and was looping up.
It probably needed heavier battery in front.
I chose a wrong day & wrong time to fly. It was extremely windy & was about to rain. Just after my plane's unscheduled landing.. it started raining.
But I was so excited, I neglected & flew my plane.
Also there is no proper flying field near me. Hence I had no option but to fly in that place which was not really suitable for flying.
At the time of launch, I was so nervous, literally shaking.. I raised the throttle up to half & launched it.
Wow..Next moment I couldn't believe that my plane took off & could fly.
It was so nice to hear claps from my wife standing besides me. Because she had been teasing me that my plane can't fly..)
Some positives from this flight are -
My design was very good because, plane crashed twice & nothing happened to it. No repairs needed & I launched it three times.
I got to know how plane behaves if cg is not right.
I got expo & end points spot on.
So overall, this was a very nice & learning experience of first flight. Mix of nervousness, Happiness & joy all at once.
Happy Flying..)

Sounds like a great experience. My hands start to shake and my heart beat goes up noticeably when I get ready to launch. It's definitely a rush especially when your not that great or experienced at flying. Great first plane, amazing that your first RC flight is with a scratch built, probably not what most people would recommend but hey, it sounds like it worked out GREAT!! Can't wait to see what you come up with next.

some advise, if you still in training, build something with dehidral wing. its easier to control (that is what my senior taught me :) )
I'm still in training too so I build my own training plane with dehidral wing, a simple fuselage, and cheap enough to crash :D
